by Chasity2495 Jun 11, '12I am a new graduate and I have my first interview Friday June 15 in our Med/Neuro ICU. I am pretty nervous about interviewing. I think I would do well on ICU, but I never did any rotations on an ICU or a neuro floor. My precepting was on a step down cardiac floor. I have great references; a couple actually recommended me for ICU as they oversaw my patient care and felt I would do well.
Any advice?
Chas

And I don't want you to take that in a negative way-its just to prepare you for the big difference from nursing school and the real world of the hospital. Lots of new grads have great letters of recommendation but they also have ICU experience or neuro experience. So you really have to demonstrate what sets you apart from the rest. Good luck!
