Hello,

Does anybody have any advice about new entry level, new grad interview questions for the ER? I am moving to Omaha and would love nothing more than to be an ER Nurse. It is my passion and lifelong dream to pursue that type of specialty. Down the line I would like to work my way up to be a flight nurse. I have a scheduled interview in Omaha at UNMC in December and any advice would be highly appreciative. I want this more than anything in the world and have been waiting for an opportunity for me to finally get a chance. Out of many applicants they narrowed the applicants to 20 and there are 2 open positions. What would it take for me to sell myself to prove to them that I should be a potential candidate. I have great references and I have only been a nurse for 9 months and currently working in a skilled rehab nursing home facility. That is all that was available to me in Massachusetts and I figured any experience is better than no experience especially in this economy. Besides it gave me the confidence to know that I am able to do just about anything if I put my mind and effort into it. I am also going to be enrolled in a Nurse to EMT course offered by Creighton University in April. It is a one week course and then I want to enroll in the Nurswe to Paramedic program as well. Hopefully those 2 things willl help to help me get one step closer to pursuing my dream. I know that everyone will say that they will ask strengths and weaknesses? What type of behavioral or scenario questions would they possible ask a new nurse? I would hope that they know that we are entry level and have not experienced a lot of things yet but all we can do is learn and adapt to whatever we are faced with. So any advice that could be helpful would be great. I look forward to hearing back from someone out there.

Thanks,
