your nursing program vs. kaplan

I'm in the middle of studying for the nclex-rn and using Kaplan. What I usually try to do when studying is watch the content review and follow along in my Kaplan book, then I read the content over again and do some questions on the particular topic I was just studying. I just got done reviewing health promo/maintance. I'm suprised at the amount of information that I never learned in nursing school! I realize they can't teach you everything you need to know for the NCLEX, and also I felt we didn't focus on OB/Peds as much as we should..but still! For example, we had to learn when children should received their immunizations but never all of the side effects of each of them! That's going to take me forever to memorize that stuff! How did you guys do it?! Did you know all of the information in the Kaplan book!? THANKS! I'm going crazy!!!
I really can't wait for this to be over!

Hello. I am using Saunders so far. I am interested to know how Kaplan's book is set up for PN. Does each review chapter have questions that follow that only go with that chapter or are they a mixture? Thanks.

I'm actually studying to get my RN, but here is how that book is set up:
It's called "The RN Course Book" and is seperated into chapeters. Chapters 1 and 2 is an intro and teaches you how to answer questions. Then ch 3 covers safe and effective care, ch 4 is health promo and maintenance (ob, neonate), ch 5 is physiological integrity (mobility, MS trauma, nutrition, etc.) You get the idea..
In my book there aren't any practice questions- the questions are all online. You have a user name and there are like 1000 or so questions available.
