Wow..Disappointed!

Anyone else feel this way; took the NCLEX today, studied comprehensive books, took a review class and did VERY well on ALL tests in school...the NCLEX didnt touch ANY of that! Everything I had concentrated on wasnt on the test. My comp. shut off at about 130 and Im not feeling very confident.....YIKES!!!

I kinda felt the same way. I concentrated on OB, peds, and psych, butI felt like I just wasted my time after I took the test. Oh, well. Nothing I can do about it, but the imposrtant thing is that I passed. I guess it's better to have something and not need it, than need it and not have it.

When you finished your exam, how did you feel, confident that you passed or a little nervous that you didnt?

I felt the exact same way today when I took the NCLEX-PN. I did about 2000 questions before taking this test and I didn't feel it helped a great deal at all! I guess all we can do now is sit and wait!!

Absolutely!! I felt that I had wasted my time. I did at least 150-300 questions per day to study for NCLEX-PN, took a review course and constantly read their material, and took time off of work (sick time), and there was not a single question about diabetes, heart disease, one question for pediatrics (was grateful for that, because I hated peds), no OB questions, no endocrine ...
At this point, I would tell people to study each day, do about 100 questions a day, but do not kill yourself, because NCLEX is a whole new world. I left there bewildered, angry, and I said to myself that if I failed, I would not waste my time, because I would have no clue where to begin. I'm glad it is over, because I will never walk into that again.

Took my nclex today....shut off at 75...I have never felt more humiliation before now. I studied all the wrong things. It has been very hard to accept that I might have failed given the fact that I was at the top of my nursing class and a representative of student government...I feel i missed really easy questions and answered the hard ones right. I guess there is no predicting results but I want to stay positive.
good luck all.

Nurse Re: Wow..Disappointed!
ok- i know exactly how you feel- i took my nclex-rn on monday- i had 130-150 questions- i came out of there i started crying because i felt horrible about that test! I got my results this morning-and I passed! I was worried because all of my friends said they had 75 questions and they knew they passed- so i got worried when my test wouldn't shut off- i also took the pn nlcex last year and passed with the minimum- so it really doesn't matter how many questions you get- if you were doing terrible- the test would have shut off at 75- it kept giving you more questions- so thats a good sign-did you have a lot of "priority questions?" But unfortunately-now is the hardest part! waiting!!!but its out of your hands right now- so try to relax, hang out w/friends/family, just know that at this point there is nothing more you can do!!
