Hi everyone,
I took NCLEX for the first time on July 8th, got 265 questions in about 5 hrs., and failed. To top it off, I had my DAD call the number to find out if i passed because i was too scared to find out for myself. Needless to say, my dad had some very depressing news for me. I felt like i not only failed myself, but my entire family. Luckily, i did not have a job lined up unlike some of my friends from school. Nurses from work were so supportive. My family and friends have shown me that failing the test is NOT the end of the world. What also made me feel better was seeing my results sheet that said i was near the passing standard in all areas and that i was not below passing standard in any area. That showed me that i DID learn stuff from school and that with more focused studying, i could probably beat NCLEX the next time.
ANYWAY, im just here looking for some words of wisdom. I have begun looking at the random facts thread which is AWESOME. I am also almost done with Saunder's 4th Edition & I plan on testing again by the end of this month.
Thanks all for your help!
