WHo is using Lippincott's NCLEX-RN PassPoint?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello students - I am a lecturer in a nursing college in Oman and we are thinking of providing access to the Lippincott's NCLEX-RN PassPoint for our students. Are any of you using it this online study program, and what would your feedback be as far as it's usefulness to your studying?

Many thanks, Lani

Is no one using Passpoint to study for the NCLEX?

My school has given our class access to pass point in an effort to help us be more prepared for the NCLEX. I am finding it very helpful. We only have access to the questions but I love the way pass point is designed. The questions are great and the rationales are helping me learn even more.

I used it back in December/January when I was graduating. I found it very helpful.

I used it for a day or so until i realized the NCLEX questions were the same questions as NCLEX 3500/4000 which i was using at the time.

I was given access to the PassPoint program on Sept 9 and had my NCLEX exam scheduled for Sept 25. I worked daily with this program and was able to do over 2200 questions in that period of time. I had taken the NCLEX exam in the past and wasn't successful, but after using this program I did pass NCLEX on Sept 25. This is hands down the best program that I have ever worked with. The main page is very easy to navigate and it's super easy to take quizzes in areas that show a weakness. I would seriously recommend that student nurses check out this program before taking the NCLEX. The best part of this program is you can take several quizzes in an area of weakness and advance to more difficult questions, which is very similar to NCLEX, plus you can do it all from home. This program also has GREAT rationales. The books I used previously didn't give rationales usually as to why certain options were incorrect, just stated why the correct answer was correct. I learned the most by simply reading the rationales when I got a question wrong. The only downfall that I found was as you advance to harder questions you tend to get a lot of repeat questions from previous quizzes. You can also take mock NCLEX exams, set the number of questions and amount of time, and once you've completed the mock exam you will get a graph showing how you did and if you "passed" compared to others who have passed NCLEX. Test taking was never my strength during school, but this program worded questions just like NCLEX and made it easier to select the correct answer. Definitely worth checking out!!

I just saw there was a 2 week free trial open and it's suppose to give full site access for that time. It look pretty cool, I'll provide feedback once I complete the trial. =)

Im doing the 2 week trial so far its going good but I have noticed questions I've seen on NCLEX 3500 but all it gives good feedback in weak areas. .

You will see some questions from Nclex 3500 and the lippincot nclex review book, But get to level 8 on all components and take the nclex style tests and see where you stand.

I personally found it very helpful...I reached level 8 on all subjects and did the nclex style test and the level 8 questions are very similar to the real Nclex.

I'm really happy to hear that. I just took the NCLEX practice test on there and got all 7&8s I expected the questions to be way harder than they were. Do you feel this is a good NCLEX pass predictor?

I believe if you can be at level 8 on passpoint, you shouldn't have any problems with Nclex...because level 8 questions seem easy but remember... Nclex is about safety and safety!

Last two Practice NCLEX tests I took on there gave me level 8 in all categories. Still seems way easier than questions I've seen with other programs. Just scared it's going to give me a false since of security going into NCLEX. But thank you for your feed back! =)
