 Hi, i bought Saunders, but it's "Saunders Comprehensive Review 2005" , it is as good as Saunders Strategies?? ALSO, i have Kaplan and Lippincott.

It is a good idea if i buy Saunders Strategies too? Please i need an advice! :uhoh21:

Thanks in advance :)

Saunders Comprehensive Review is the best out there. They offer the best rationale behind each and every answer. This si what all of my students overseas have used and have passed the first time.

Strategies is the newest book that they have put out, I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. With the C.R., and if used in the right fashion, you should not need anything else............at least in my opinion. Anything that needs to be looked up is right there.

:) Thank you suzanne4 for the info. Now, I feel relaxed after your answer! BUT,

could you please explain to me this: "and if used in the right fashion" ( you said it above) What do you mean with this? Thanks again..and sorry to bother...:uhoh21: :p

Some students try to get thru as many quesitons as they can per day, and do not stop to review the answers. This should be done with each and every question, not just the ones that you missed. It will give you a better way of understanding why the correct answer was selected, as well as why the others were wrong. Saunders does the best job with this in my opinion. If you go thru the questions in this way, and do at least 3000 to 4000, you should have no problem with passing the exam.

I work primarily with foreign trained nurses who learned with a different focus and English was not their primary language, and they were all able to pass using this method.

Ok I saw the "NEW" Saunders book and it is blue with a pyramid on the front. (I personally don't think she should have changed the cover because I have been looking for the book for a month and it has been staring me in the face.) At any rate, SUZANNE4 (or anyone who has seen the book), have you looked at the new C.R. book and compared it to the old green C.R. book? I can't find the green book because they say there are no new copies on barnesandnoble.com. Are the two books similar?? Which is best?? I want to get one for this semester, but don't know if I should try to hunt down the green one. My budget will only allow 1. SUGGESTIONS??

I have Saunders, both the 2003 and new format question editions and I have Lippincotts and then I decided to buy the Davis's NCLEX-RN Success and whhoww nelly! The difference was night and day to me! Seriously, I was a straight A and B student all through nursing school and I started doing these Davis questions and it was definitly harder. I couldn't get about a measly 65% to save my soul. I took multiple tests of varying lengths to not tire myself out. I took alot of 20 questions, then 40 questions, then 75 questions. I felt like i was taking the actual test. :banghead: So, then I go to take the real deal on July 1st. Swear that NCLEX and Davis think exactly alike! All the questions were just as awful, but because I had that Davis book and CD I was completely familiar with the question style, how they asked, how to eliminate incorrect choices ect. I shut off at 75. I found out on July 26th that I passed!! All I can say is if I had to do it over again, I would pick Davis, hands down! :bowingpur

Hi, I used Saunders Comprehensive review, third edition, studied 2,200 questions from this book and passed NCLEX 1st time and the computer shut off after 100 questions and 1 1/2 hours. Great Book!!!!

Good luck to you Bori. :)

The newer edition has the new format questions. I have just used the 2nd edition for so long and am quite familiar with it. In my personal opinion, if you know the material, then it doesn't matter what format the questions are in.

It is still easier to find the 2nd edition ovrseas, so that is what I still use, as that is where most of my students still are. :)

Just stick with the saunders book you have,I had brought all of them and the questions etc are basically all the same, just make sure you know the rationales for each answer, why something is wrong or right etc.
