Which book is better-LaCharity vs Lippincott's Alternate format for NCLEX-RN

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi fellows RNs who passed NCLEX,

I have only 5 days left before exam, I would like to prepare for both priority questions and SATA, if I will choose one book to read, which book did you find more helpful in taking NCLEX-RN, is it LaCharity (PDA) or Lippincott's Alternate-format book by Diana Rupert. Thank you in advance for your advice.

I recently just passed the nclex in May and I bought and used both books. I would definitely recommend the PDA book over the Lippincott. The nclex is going to ask a lot of questions over priority. The nclex wants to see if you know what the first thing you should do in a certain scenario and which patient is priority. The PDA book helps with prioritizing your nursing care. The Lippincott book had great, challenging questions but I only did one chapter as I found better resources. Doing a ton of select all of the apply questions isn't going to help you pass. You need to know the content in order to get those types of questions correct. And really the nclex was testing basic knowledge. The select all that apply were to me easier than the multiple choice. All in all, if you successfully passed a nursing program, you will do fine on the nclex. It's just one last test to prove your greatness. Go in with confidence and focus on the question on the screen. Good luck.
