Wait and see what your school does, you will have enough on your plate with school and they should prepare you for the exam. Failing that go to your local book store and look at their books on NCLEX

yes the NCLEX! oops i forgot to write it -.-

You begin by putting all your effort and attention to nursing school, because your NCLEX preparation begins there and is an ongoing process. Good luck in your nursing program.

yes thanks... but i mean book-wise, any recommendations? :)

Saunders is highly recommended by most of the takers. Lacharity is also recommended. But focus first on your program. Good luck.

For the content I did use Saunders Comprehensive Book (blue book).

I also made use of the Davis Nclex RN Success 2nd Ed.

Prentice Hall by Hogan for the questions,

Kaplan Question Trainers.

Prioritization and Delegation by La Charity.

If you're planning to do reviewing full time by yourself, I suggest you be consistent with your study routine. If you're still going to school I would focus less on the exam for now since school is far more important at this time. :)

As mentioned in the previous posts, concentrate in your nursing school first. You will have your hands full with that. The nursing education is going to help you tackle the NCLEX. Good luck in school!

I am finding the Saunders NCLEX prep book to be very helpful during school. I use it to quiz myself to prep for tests, or as a way to read quickly about an upcoming topic I did not read thoroughly before class. Many of the pictures, graphs, and even direct statements I have seen in all my Elsevier published textbooks (Ignatavicious-affectionately known as Iggy, Potter&Perry, Wongs,) so I feel confident that I am not getting any conflicting information. The rationales are very helpful, especially as you get into taking nursing school tests. GL!

Yes school is very demanding and you will learn what you need to know for the NCLEX. However, I purchased several NCLEX books and used them to help study for exams as well. I think that is a good road to follow. Then when you are done and getting ready to prepare for the NCLEX you can continue to use the books you have purchased. Saunders Comprehensive Review NCLEX-RN Examination book is excellent! :nurse:
