What Q&A book is the best beside Saunders?

  1. Any books you recommend for the NCLEX beside Saunders? I went to the bookstore but dont know what to get, . Just need to practice more questions with prioritization, delegation, herbal meds, new format... there are few in the shelf (NSNA, Lippincott, Nclex 3000/3500, Incredibly Easy, Mosby, Kaplan) but i decided to ask you guys first before i buy one :wink2:

    thank you

I only like Saunders and there are multiple books available from them. Best in terms of explanations. And this works for my foreign students everytime.

i had nclex 3000 and 3500 from my friends.

it's great to brush up the facts. questions are straight forward.
    hope this helps!

I;ve been using Lippencott. I like that they provide the rationale for the wrong answers as well as the rationale for the ones that are correct.

What Lippincott book do you have?

Stick with Saunders, the rationales are better, and that is what is important. My preference is to use one book only for review.

I have a friend who took the NCLEX this summer that thought Saunders was way too easy & she said she liked the NSNA one.

I love the Saunders review book myself. I'll probably buy my friend's NSNA one too.

I personally like Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets. It delivers a bunch of fast facts in a rapid, non-confusing style and is a great adjunct to the Saunders book.

I agree that you should stick with one publisher, but I have more than one book written by Saunders to reinforce the learning!

I didn't like Saunders whatsoever. I prefered Lippencott.
