Hey Murphy. I'm very sorry to hear the news that you failed. And I can understand how you must be feeling right now. I've failed the test twice already and will be taking in for my third time this month. Like you I've tried Kaplan and didn't pass for my first two try's using their methods. May I ask how you used the Saunder's book and how many questions you did in order to prepare? I have a friend who took Nclex 4 times and finally passed with Saunders. He failed with his previous attempts using Kaplan. He studied the Saunders book and did every chapter quiz before moving on to the CD. and he also made it a goal to finish the entire 4212 questions on the Saunder's CD before he took the test. Also he used Priority, Delegation & assignment for priority questions. I have this book as well, and I can tell you that it's one area of the test that you don't want to miss.

i did about 1000 questions from the qbank around 1500 nclex 3500 questions....read through the saunders book never really did use the cd from it though...I read frye nclex bulletts and had bought and used a book with delegation and prioritization questions..I know i had a problem with the prioritization so I made a bigger effort for that area and i got a 93% using the sample nclex test on qbank that is all prioritization...I find myself always narrowing it down to 2 answers then (sounds crazy) i pick one in my head and then i think ah no it the other answer and pick it to which i amusually wrong..

Yup I do the same thing too lol. When I'm down to two answers I noticed that when I stick to the one I originally thot I had in mind I am right! That's one thing when your taking tests..You gotta go with your gut, once you pick an answer stay with it. I'm telling you usually it's the right one. Your mind knows the answer, but it's usually your conscience making you feel the what if's. I know you must feel really down right now. Thinking about all the time you spent in preparing. I've been down that road, and I'm still here fighting just like you. There's nothing we can do but try again. By now you must feel burnt out and tired from all the preparing you've done. Take a week off, it's well deserved. But make sure to get back to studying again. All the knowledge that you have is still there and fresh. Don't let it go to waste. Pick up the pieces and try again. Hang in there. Hope this makes you feel better. :icon_hug:

PS: If you haven't tried Suzanne's plan maybe it would intrest you to take a look into it since you already have the Saunder's Book. Saunder's 3rd or 4th edition is all that she requires. Check out the link:
