hello, i would recommend u use Saunders comprehensive book.. I now mainly focus on the CD, and its doing great.. How? because i can apply my knowledge when i encounter questions even from other books. I like Saunder because am also a foreigner in this island. I just finished my nursing here on Saipan , and to me Saunders explain the rationale very well, In simple words.....

As much as I love Saunder's, it's what put me through grades 7-12 and some college(my daddy worked for Saunder's). I used two other ones. I used Mosby's NCLEX-RN Made Incredibly Easy and Davis' NCLEX review book. I think the main thing is to exposure yourself to as many questions as possible. Also there is a whole thread on studying for the NCLEX. I did most of my questions by computer since that is how boards are. Get a good nights sleep and don't freak at all the formalities when you check in. Good luck. I just passed on the 10th of February.

I agree with do as may questions you can and make sure you understand the rationales. I also wrote things I was unclear of in a notebook so I could review those notes as well.

I just took my test today and think I prolly failed it. I studied from saunders and other nclex review books. The bottom line is this, they help maybe 25% but 75% of the test is nothing like school questions or the nclex review books. Ya I know the test pretty much sucks and they really need to revise the test to make it actually apply to nursing concepts and floor nursing.

Do a lot of questions. If you need to study content, read the basic content. I would not suggest Saunders although many people liked it because NCLEX isn't a comprehensive exam so why use a comprehensive book? Most questions are analysis and application which can be learned through practicing questions. Good luck. Pray a lot. God bless.
