Validation of english skills?

I sat my nclex yesterday...still dont know if i have passed or not...but looking up my license status on the state nursing site...it says test pending, but also pending is verification of english skills...I really dont know what this means? I am originally from scotland, but have never spoken another language apart from english.....they would not have given me my att...if there was something else I needed...like an english exam right?
Any advice?

Which state are you taking the exam for?
And you are correct, you ar exempt from English exams for immigration purposes, but some states require the TOEFL or TSE for any foreign nurse writing the exam. I would just phone them and clarify this with them. They could have just made a mistake.
