I agree with babynursewannab, it sounds like when you reach the passing score it stops automatically. You know if you passed, you don't need to REALLY pass. 85 is good enough! Congratulations in advance.

Over here in NC we have to wait at least 10 to 15 business and we don't have the option of calling the 1-900#. So the earliest I will find out is next Friday.

I just took the NCLEX 2 days ago. It stopped at 85 questions and I felt like I didn't answer a single one right. I had a 4.0 grade point average in Nursing School. I can't believe how miserable something like this can make a person feel.
I will keep my fingers crossed for all of us!

I remember that "torture" of waiting too. Mine also cut off at the minimum #, 75. I had heard that when you answer questions wrong, it will ask practice questions that don't count and isn't quite as hard. But if you are answering the questions right, it will ask harder questions and some of those may be some that don't count. Regardless, I was told that you won't have any idea either way whether you passed or failed. They were right...I had no clue how I did. I was also told that if you failed, you'll get a big sized envelope and if you failed, you'll get a smaller sized one. When mine came it was a white enevelope about 5"X7" and I wasn't sure if that was considered the "big one" or the "small one" and was hesitant in opening it, LOL. When I did open it, I passed. Congrats to those who've passed & good luck to those still waiting to hear or are about to take the test! Let us know!

I took my NCLEX LPN boards today and I felt like I didnt know one question, some of the stuff was familiar but .... it shut off at 85 !!

Mine stopped at the minimum when I took my LPN boards and I figured I failed and I passed. I just recently took my RN boards and had to answer over 140 before the computer shut off. Again I figured I failed, but I passed. Between the two, I think it was better to have it shut off at the minimum. The more questions you are asked the greater your stress level becomes.
