Best to wait for the results before you convince yourself you failed. Many think they have failed and are nicely suprised when they see they have passed. 85% pass the first time. You can pass or fail regardless of the number of questions. SATA questions are just a style of questioning, they do not indicate whether you have passed or failed. Keep busy and wait for the results. GOOD LUCK!!!!

An update, I PASSED!! I took the exam 4 times total and finally passed on the fourth try! Thank You to everyone in this wonderful support site. I took me one full year to finally get it right but it was so worth it! I can now start living my dream.

Consider Suzanne's Plan. Read her Sticky Thread at the top of this forum and decide if it is right for you. Otherwise I would suggest The Random Facts Sticky and The Infection Control Threads ( along with your reveiw book ). Good luck!!!

No matter how hard I tried I finally realized that reading an entire book cover to cover was not for me because I would read it and then forget what I read. So, what I did different this time was:

1. Kaplan Q-bank (practice questions)

2. Flash Cards for the infection control from Saunders book (e.g. airborne precautions, droplet precautions etc...) along with the PPE needed (e.g. gloves, gown, etc..) --- I did NOT read Saunders from cover to cover and didn't use the book for anything else but to make my flash cards for the infection control part.

3. Did the entire CD (which is not that much) of the HESI book. Repeated the
Pharmacology section which includes the 150 medications needed for an entry nurse level. (didn't memorize them all but did do the practice questions twice).

Good luck.
