Took NCLEX for the third time...

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I just took the NCLEX PN for the 3rd time and did not pass. I took the max questions allowed 205. I just got the mail back saying I did not pass... I looked at the content area sheet, which is attached to the back of the form sheet and looking at the results all the criteria says "Near the passing standard". I do not know what else I have to do to pass this exam. The 2nd time I took the exam my results all said "Near passing standard" so I was hoping this 3rd time would be it, but sadly I got the same thing. This is very discouraging. I plan to send in the registration form again. Is there any ideas on what to study or anything you nurses can give me? studying strategies? books? online? practice tests? concepts? anything would be helpful.

Thanks

How did you study for the first, second and third attempts? If you have not taken a live review course, would you be open to it? Do you have test anxiety?

I have read the Saunders book and have bought the nclex mastery app so I can practice questions on my phone. I am willing to do anything necessary to pass this exam. Also, I did not have any anxiety during the test, I did feel really confident until I got the results back in the mail.

I am at the same boat, what Im doing now is a live review and I downloaded Uworld. I hope this help

I attended a Hurst review and studied it for a few months before I took mine. It made concepts clearer to me in minutes than the textbooks did after studying for entire semesters. I passed in 75 questions the first time. My sister failed her first time around and then I gave her my Hurst review book. She passed it the second time around! I can't recommend it enough!

I recently took my LPN nclex and I dnt feel I passed. I'm just waiting for my results. I did Hurst review and nclex mastery and I still feel like that wasnt enough. I dnt where to begin to study again. It was also my 3rd time taking the test.

I would recommend UWORLD's qbank. Try to do the majority or all the questions and review every rationale. That really helped me! I also did hurst which makes everything a little clearer.
