Took My NCLEX (7-14)

by RainDreamer allnurses Guide

*WHEW* That's all I can say, so glad it's over! I know I could sit here and tell you how I feel about it, but it's the exact same stuff that everyone else has posted!! Even after reading people post "I feel like I failed, I just know I failed!", and then 2 days later saying "I PASSED!" ..... even though I know that, I still feel like I failed the dang thing!

I got about 9 hours of sleep last night, slept great. Woke up and had a nice big brunch. Got to the testing center an hour early and wasn't even really nervous, I was just ready to go take the test. I thought I was doing pretty well at first ..... wasn't too bad, was getting harder and I was getting priority questions/select all that apply ...... I thought for sure it'd shut off at 75 (I was hoping it would), but nope. It didn't shut off until about 187 or 188 I was just so glad it was finally over! After it kept going I thought for sure I was in for the whole 265. It just kept going and going, a couple times I got really anxious and almost started crying, but I just closed my eyes and made myself focus, said a little prayer and continued with it.

I've read SO MANY people on here (the majority) post about getting 75. But I know I can still pass with 188, so I'm not giving up hope yet.

First thing I said when I got home was *man I need a margarita!!* So we went out to dinner and I'm just trying to relax and enjoy the fact that it's over.

((((Rain))) you know its not the number of questions, the degree of difficulty is random and questions are rated differently, also some may be "dummy" questions , to ttry them out for the next version. I am sure you did fine! the margarita and dinner were a great idea to destress (my favorite kind! )

i know here in mass you can to to the BON website in a couple of days, plug in your name and it will tell you if you are an RN! thats how i found out 5 years ago! some of my class members spent all day online looking each other up and calling with the good news!
For now, just think about relaxing and learning your new career! Mary
