I keep rescheduling over and over..but right now what's on my mind is that I can't do this anymore and my insecurities about pharmacology. I'm bad at math and calculations. I have to take it once and for all, i'm getting sick of all of this preparing yet again I just don't want to fail..I'm scared. I lost the fire that I once had in the initial months of preparing, and now that my exam date is close I just don't feel like seeing another page from that saunders book or any more questions..I feel like I overdid everything and now that my exam date is close i'm laxing off and not putting in the work that I should.

Any responses will be great..I really just feel like talking to someone right now. When I think about the possiblity of failing..I just feel sad again..
Hi,
I agree, it sounds as though you are burnt out. This seems counterintuitive, but part of preparing for the NCLEX is managing stress and not overdoing it-easier said than done I say.
Anyway, you're never going to feel 110% ready. I certainly didn't. And I had a few panic moments where I would freak and think to myself that I couldn't do it and would never pass. But then I remembered that I studied, which is all you can do, and that its just a test. I mean, I wanted to pass and did everything in my power to do that, but I knew that, if needed, there would be a second chance...or a third chance...or even a fourth and a fifth. And I was so tired of it controlling my life, that I just took a chance and did it-and got it over with!
My suggestion: pick a day that you think will work for you, and spend the week leading up to it being really, really nice to yourself (manicures and chocolate, for example

) and do like ten questions a night just to keep your head in the game. The night before, read the Saunders chapter on infection control and then go in there with a positive attitude. Every five questions or so, close your eyes, take three deep breaths, and keep going! You'll be amazed how quickly the test goes by!
You can do it! Good luck!
