I was checking out some nursing review courses and this one sounds really cool. It is recommended by a nurse who is very famous. I think it may be the best. www.SEMINARSATSEA.NET What do you guys think. IT says we can get a review and vacation. After almost 2 years in school Ithink I can use that lol!

The link says that the program is recommended by Laura Gasparis, but on the NCLEX Review section of the site there is a link to Laura's website for registration information. Does she recommend the program? Or does she run it?

I don't have any experience with Laura, those websites, or the seminar company, but it sounds very, very shady to me. I would use extreme caution.

Hi

I'm new to this forum. I started researching stuff online that might help me in my upcoming nclex exam. I feel so stressed out and crammed for time. I'm 7 months pregnant and I need to take the test and pass before i give birth in march. I'm having a hard time figuring out what methods i should use for studying. I feel so overwhelmed I'm hoping I could take the exam in 3-4 wks. Any tips on how to study these next couple of weeks and making it really count??

Any advice would be of greatest help.

Thank You!

What books are you using already? There are already a few threads on what people prefer. You could set a time ie 2 hours and just practice questions every night

Right now i have the Saunders, Lippincott and Kaplan Book. Ive read through the Kaplan book already, and now im just trying to figure out how to start with Lippincott and
Saunders. Do i just go through each system and do questions on both books? So far ive only gone through musculoskeletal and that took me a whole day. Any suggestions?

I preferred Saunders myself but you will find which you like. I would probably say practice as many questions as you can and make sure you understand the rationale to the ones you get wrong. Another option is look at Suzanne's plan (all info in the sticky) it is free and as long as you meet her criteria as written it is a great plan to do and just uses Saunders

Hi
I agree with Silverdragon... I would definitely recommend to use Saunder's.. 4th or 3rd edn....I too took the Kaplan complete course and read through both the course and basic book but at the end of it had more questions than answers... Saunders appears to be too detailed.. but in reality it actually gives a very comprehensive picture to every subject...Do the Suzannne plan... the first tip itself prepares you and another fact worth mentioning is pay special attention to the pyramid points.. a lot of questions I have practiced ....those pyramids give you the answers... I also like the medication review at the end of each chapter... just my

I was thinking of doing suzannes plan, but it requires at least 6 weeks. Im really crunched for time since ill be giving birth in march, so im kinda weary about going through all the content in saunders and doing questions. I hope the questions and rationales that i do will be enough to pass
