Tips for repeat test takers!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone, Kaplan is offering a free NCLEX tips for those that are repeat test takers at 8pm, on July 26. (Eastern time)!! I will be attending because I failed once and I will not fail again so I am taking everything that I can, especially if it is free!!:w00t:

I signed up for all of the free events they are offering before my test date. The first one on Strategies annoyed me because the woman spent the first 10 minutes going over how the screen will look on your test date. Then she gave about 2-3 tips and 2-3 questions over 30 minutes. The last 20 minutes she spent promoting the Kaplan review course . Thank goodness it was free. I'm hoping these other ones don't follow the same format.

i signed up for it but missed it huhu..How was it

Hello i was wondering if you fail for nclex rn and then you will have to wait for 45 days, can you schedule your exam from day 1 of waiting and just alotting time for 45 days to pass? Or you have to schedule after day 45. Because as you know schedules can fill up quickly.

First I had to wait for another ATT to arrive. Then I had to wait until my 45 days was up, exactly, before I could schedule another test date. If I tried to schedule one before the 45 days, it would not allow me to.

I called pearson they said I could register for the exam even before 45 days, but you won't be scheduled until that 45 days passed..

@nikkibroddy - how was the tips of repeat test takers seminars. I missed it

I missed it to but someone on this site said that the information was nothing new. They said it was the same information that they have on their website and in their Kaplan strategies book.

Really studying and applying the strategies that Kaplan promotes in their Kaplan NCLEX RN Strategies, Practice and Review book with ISBN #978-1-60978-565-9 (2012-2013 version) will really make a difference. This is not their decision tree method and I believe is a much better way of approaching the material. More questions? Just send me a private message. Ann

Sorry to hear totally know the feeling.. Befire you make an appointment make sure you schedule a date after your ATT is valid. When I tried to reschedule it gave me date after 45 days, but also days that were not valid according to my ATT. Today I took the Nclex for the second time and so far have gotten the good pop up. First time around I study saunder and exam cram, this time around I did the NCSBN 3 week course along with the very help guide going around very helpful. Hope this helps and hope you pass!

Did you got 75% in everything? I am doing ncsbn too for 3weeks. So far my pretest was 62% first take. But I review all the rationale and try to retake it on Friday to see how improve after going through all the subjects and post test. And every topic post test I got 60%..

No, I was scoring in the 60's as well, I read all the rationales and in my head I tried to apply it as if I were in the clinic setting. The guide is what helped a lot and to whom ever made it THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
