We will graduate on December 16th. A Hurst review (live) has been scheduled for January 17-20. That is 4 weeks after graduation. I was planning to take the boards the next week. Is that too long between graduation and boards? Today, an instructor said that studies have shown that after 6 weeks, your chances of passing NCLEX go down exponentially.
I'm trying to reschedule the review for earlier, but what with New Years and all that....

You should be soing your own review during that time and not wait specifically for the Hurst Review.

It is true that the likelihood of passing decreases as time goes by. But six weeks isn't the magic number and it isn't much of a difference till after 3 months. There's a big dip after six months. But, Suzanne is right - you should start studying on your own before January. Good luck on your exam!

I was also told that after 4 months your chance of passing NCLEX declines, this was told to us by our SON Dean. I graduate 12/11/05 at 3:00p.m. and I am taking the Kaplan review which starts on 12/12/05, I guess I can handle it.
