For Those Who Have Completed the NCLEX...

I was just wondering.

What percent of your exam consisted of dosing questions? Is there a LOT of math in it? Someone told me not to focus too much on the dosing calculations (ie IV drip rate) as much as perhaps the correct range for dosing for a child, or converting lbs into kgs to figure out dosing.

So, out of morbid curiousity and if you remember...on the average, how many math questions would you say you had...and were they fill ins or multiple choice?

Please don't post any questions directly from the test. Just asking the amount of questions per test.

Example: 5 math questions out of 180.

Thanks a lot.

Cher.

7 days until test time!

I took the boards on Jan 10 and I had no math/calculations questions, much to my disappointment (I'm good at these!)

Good luck!

i had 265 questions and altho i didnt make it i didnt encounter any math questions altho again it was 80% medicine based questions which is my weak side really. what to eat and what not when taking a certain meds, vital signs with a ? meds, almost any Q regarding meds, name it hehehehe.... the computer is very witty to know my weakness. sigh next time i hope i will ace it.
