For those who had ERI tests before graduation!

Hi everyone!

Did you have to take Pre-RN ERI tests before graduating in your last semester?? Are these questions like the actual NCLEX? Did they actually prepare you?

We have already taken the Pre-RN test once to see if we score above national average, and find our problem areas so we can do remedial questions on that area before the actual test. I scored above national average, but I dont know how good of an indicator of pass rate that is. How well did it indicate your pass/ fail rates???

I took the ERI a few weeks prior to completion of my LVN program in October 2005. In my honest opinion, the ERI was much more difficult than the actual NCLEX exam. The questions shared no noticeable similarities.

My ERI score was 63, which was the same as the North American average. My school's average score was 64; therefore, I scored one percentage point below the school average. I passed the NCLEX on the first attempt with the minimum amount of questions.

The ERI is pointless and does not serve as a good predictor of success on the actual NCLEX exam. Good luck to you.

Thank you for that response to the ERI question, I too just took the pre-RN exam, and did not get the one point above the national average. I have been very discouraged because of it, so it is nice to see that you passed your nclex exam the first time, it gives me encouragement.

I would not base any decisions on or be alarmed by scores from predictor tests. Most of my class failed our predictor tests and so did I. I had no problem passing NCLEX.
