The Truth to the Pearson Vue Trick & My Results Timeline

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi Everyone!

I was told about the the "Pearson Trick" a few days ago. I took my NCLEX on friday 9/16 and by that afternoon, I went onto Pearson's website and did the trick, and got the good error message.

I have not seen anything on by state BON website.. so I dont know officially if i passed or failed the test.

I am super suspicious of this Pearson Trick, I find it hard to put all my faith in a silly pop up. Accoriding to the Pearson Trick, I passed. I will have to wait and see what the BON says..

Also, I want to post some information about how long it is taking me to get my pass/ fail information bc i know i am a nervous wreck, so hopefully this may bring some peace of mind to future testers.

TIMELINE

TOOK TEST FRIDAY 9/16 @ 8am

BY 2pm THAT DAY (9/16) I WAS ABLE TO DO THE PEARSON TRICK -GOOD POP UP PRESENT-

................

I will update further as to my results timelime

By the way I am from Florida, so this is indicative of FBON

*Just a side note- it is 10 am Saturday morning here (24+ hours after my test) and I have been checking on the BON website, and there is nothing... So this may also show that the BON does not update on weekends or take longer than 24 hours

Congrats, and it shows once again that the PVT works, it worked for me a month ago. Within hours you do the trick and get your results, but states are different and post their results on different time frames. I live in Florida, my BON posted my results in 4 days.

Time line continued...

*This morning at 8:30 my 'PASS' results were available at BON website.

The only thing I am still waiting on is finding my name on the BON provider search, with a license number associated with my name. Does anyone know how long that takes?

hi KER5050 and ChristyJ! CONGRATulatIONS!!!!!!!!!! im just curious... "how will the PVT works if i already have registered?" coz i schedule my exam thru online so i already have an account in them...so how will i do the PVT?thnx!;)

You have to be registered with them to do the pvt trick.

PVT worked for me too. :)

HOW TO DO THE PEARSON TRICK:

Here is how I did the pearson trick..

After you take your test (dont try it until 4- 6 hours after the start time - to ensure that the test is actually closed for all testers)

go to www.pearsonvue.com/nclex

log into your account

click the 'register' tab

click the test you want to register for (RN/PN)

answer the questions on the next page

locate your school using the school search

click next- and immediatly at that point you should get a pop up that reads

"our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time."

if you see that exact message, you PASSED

if it allows you to pay for your test, you FAILED your first attempt

I hope that this helps. I have come to the conclusion, after much scepticism, that the pearson trick is 100%true and works! I know its hard to put so much faith in a silly little pop up, but when you see that pop up try and take a breather and know that when your official results come up it will say PASS :yeah:

Congrats and thanks for the tips

KER5050!!!! after i read your reply i tried the PVT.... (by the way: i took my exam this morning sep.20 @8am....shut off at 75 finished around 10:45am...i was so down coz i know my last question was wrong)... and just now it's 2pm i tried the PVT and i was shaking to the highest level and i got the "good pop up"... im still crying right now while typing this coz i can't believe that i pass...and i don't know what to think with this "good pop up"...i really appreciate what you posted here atleast im not palpitating anymore after doing the PVT...hopefully(crossing my fingers) this is TRUE!:[anb]:

Darlensky,

Im glad that this post helped to relieve some of you stress! That was what I was going for! :clown:

I am so happy that you passed!!!! It is definatly a hard test and the waiting is torture!!

Wait 48 hours and your pearson quick results will be there, and your state BON results may even be in within 24 hours (I took mine on a Friday, so my Pearson results were up first due to the hours of Pearson vs. BON)

I really hope that you found some help and guidance through my post

When I start my first job I plan on doing more posts that relate to the trials of a new nurse, so keep in touch!!!

Congratulations fellow RN's :nurse:

Congrats!!

I took my test in Ohio last Wednesday morning. Started at 8am, finished around 8:50, 75 questions. Got good popup at PV about 2 hours later. The next morning around 10:30am, I was able to search for my name on the ohio BON website, and it listed me with an RN license # and "valid" status. My quick results didn't pop up on PV until Saturday night, so I didn't pay for them cuz I already had a license number. I got a certificate in the mail yesterday from the BON.

Friends who took the exam Friday and Saturday got PV quick results Monday at around noon, and valid licenses by around 2pm Monday. So sometimes the BON is super fast!! :)

KER5050!u dont know how happy i am when u replied on the PV trick....it really make my heart palpitating when i saw the good pop up... it was so nice of you! again thank you fellow RN! More power to you and Good luck to us on our job hunting...hehe:yeah::yeah::yeah:

This makes my day!!...Today i took the NCLEX-PN at 2pm....at 9pm i discovered this "trick"....i tried it, and got the GOOD POPUP! ...since then ive tried the popup like 5 times, haha! :).....I am in Ohio, so im thinking i wont find out until Monday, as someone posted in this thread, thats when their classmates/friends found out, whom also took it on a Friday....i wish i could see my official results sooner though...bummer....

Im glad this helped everyone out!!

Future testers.. have faith, more people pass NCLEX than fail! so relax, read this post.. do the PV trick and cross your fingers!!!
