The agonizing wait!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So I took my NCLEX-RN today got 105 questions and took around 2.5 hours. I'm skeptical of the whole PVT thing but came home and did it several times already and each time it wouldn't take my money. So the "good pop up" as I'm seeing it called.

I'm not entirely convinced that even though I got the "good pop up" that I've passed. I kept being told in Kaplan class that if you're getting SATA you're on passing level. I did get them but it was very sporadic throughout my 105 questions, and I'd have to say the last 5-10 questions I didn't get any more. No drug calc, no place in order...I just sat there in awe when it shutoff thinking omg I didn't get a good variety of questions yet. It can't be over....is it really over? Holy crap.

Now an agonizing 48 hours of waiting is upon me!

The number of SATA has nothing to do with being above or below passing level. It's simply a type of question.

Good luck & let us know when you find out if you passed :)

I will definitely let you know. Kaplan pretty much told us when we had the class that if we weren't getting alternate format questions we weren't in passing range. Idk either way I'm freaking out, I know everyone does lol! Have to figure out something to do with myself today so I'm not driving myself insane. Tempted to go do some retail therapy!

Alternate format questions are just that: alternate question types. They have no bearing on whether you're above or below the passing line. Only the content of the question can determine the level of difficulty. Unfortunately, there's no way to know this just by reading the question. It's nerve-wracking for sure!!! Your brain will keep flashing questions you had over & over and make you doubt yourself...LOL :) I remember coming home and looking up the med from my very first question because I had never seen it before. I felt relief when I found out I guessed correctly. But during the exam, I was saying "OMG! I've never seen that med before. ACK!!!!" (replace ACK! with 4 letter word of your choice ;))

It'll be tomorrow before you know it and you'll get your Quick Results. The waiting feels like it takes forever, but you'll get through it. Good luck! :)

What state are you in? I know in Ohio they are dragging.

I'm in Maryland. They are usually pretty slow as well, my ATT came well after everyone's in my class but thank god they didn't drag getting my RN license number up!

Man that's insane that it went up same day. I wish Ohio was that fast. I finished in 75 and got the "good" popup as well but Im still paying for the quick results.

It wasn't same day, it was next day. But still that was fast! I would've been paying for the quick results as well if mbon didn't post it so fast
