Brush up on content, and get the Kaplan review book. I didn't take the 3 day course, because you can take some free classes online with Kaplan, and you tube has excellent review videos.

I'm not sure which book the course uses, but I got the 2013-2014 NCLEX book on ebay.

I used the new purple Kaplan Content Review Guide and their online courses. I also took an NCLEX prep course at the end of May that was included as part of my school's nursing program. I THINK it worked for me. I took my NCLEX on Oct. 3rd, 75 questions, good pop up on PVT and 16 days later I still have no confirmation that I passed.

Do you live in a state where you can get quick results?

I used Hurst review and Kaplan Q-trainers. My main advice is to not only prep yourself with questions, but mentally. Use positive self talk even when doing practice questions. Whenever I saw a hard practice question, I talked myself through it with some sayings I learned from HURST REVIEW and did my best. I saw my scores increasing and that is when I truly understood that NCLEX is equally mental and knowledge. Be kind to yourself, it is not a race, When you are doing practice questions note at about how many questions you daze off, and take a 5 min brake and keep that same method for NCLEX. I usually burn out at 50 questions, so I took a brake at question 50 on NCLEX, and 30 mins later, I was done.
