any other people passed with just one form of study material? all i used was saunders cd, didn't even read the book. used it for hesi and passed both the first time. i did about an hours worth of studying per day for 2 weeks. what saunders has taught me was how to think critically with the questions and the answers. i ask myself these questions when i'm testing:
1: what is this question really wanting from me
2: is this a trick question
3: what are the 2 answers that i know i can eliminate
4: of the remaining 2 answers, does the longest (one with the most information) answer sound the best
5: is this an appropriate time for enie minie miny moe (j/k here)
this method has worked for me, i realize that this method won't make me a great nurse. but when a lot of people on this board are reporting that that they studied their tails off and had a bad feeling after the test... it may be due to lack of testing taking ability and not what they know. hopefully this helps someone pass nclex.
