Taking the NCLEX for the second time

I took the NCLEX PN in october of 2014 after I graduated. The school I went to wasnt the greatest and I didnt feel very prepared, on top of that I didnt prepare as I should, I can admit that. Needless to say I failed at 90 something questions. That was one of the worst feeling I have ever felt, I was so discouraged. Instead of getting right into studying for re-examination I went back to school for a year at a community college to do pre reqs for an LPNto RN bridge program.I finished all my prerequisites and could not go any further until I passed the test but still wasn't ready because studying was on the back burner. So, coming into this year I started back studying, got the NCLEX Mastery App and did Hurst review and though I was actively studying I was also working and dealing with some personal things so I still didnt feel very prepared. I rescheduled the test at least 3 times before I finally took it last saturday July 23rd. Going in I was so nervous I prayed throughout the test because there were several moments I was just over it especially after I got through the first 85 questions, every question following I expected the computer to shut off and that be the end. I went on to do all 205 questions with a few minutes to spare out of the 5 hr alloted time. Today I paid for the quick results and to my surprise I passed!!! I couldnt be any happier or more shocked. I am proof that not only can you pass after failing and taking alot of time off but you can pass doing the max amount of questions. All I can say is dont give up on yourself. I almost did and I am glad I go it together so I can proudly say I am Nurse Austin!!!!
