Re: Taking nclex for 2nd time. Need your help!
Patterns..it's just like with any standardized test, the more you practice the more you see a certain similarity in the type of question they ask and the type of answer they're looking for. Take a look at the test taking strategies from you NCLEX preparation books (Saunders is FANTASTIC!)
I knew someone who had to take it a second time. This person said the first time he took it he studied content, the second just practice questions.
Personally I am not a great standardized taker, but I did well in school. So focus on the areas you are least comfortable with. Refresh over all the content and do as many practice problems as possible from different sources if you're able (check out from the library) and take the test as if it's test day.
Best thing you can do is to not freak out! Just relax and know that you are an RN...your positive energy will care for the rest
