Suggestions for NCLEX Prep

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi there my fellow nursing students. I am graduating in 3 weeks and needed input on what you think is the best prep material for the NCLEX. My school supplies us with this set of prep materials called ATI but I also want to use something else. An acquaintance of mine suggested Pearsonvue, which she used it and passed on the first try. Any first time passers out there please send me your suggestions, especially those that maybe had hard time with grades in nursing school but then were able to kick that NCLEX in the butt please. Congrats to those that have made it and thanks in advance for the help! :redpinkhe

Plenty of suggestions in the NCLEX forum. Lots of people say they are successful using Saunders Comprehensive Review as their main resource for study.

I just passed 75Q 2 days ago. I used Kaplan QTrainers, LaCharity and Saunders book (during school) and disc (after). No matter what I looked at in a book, I couldn't have prepared for that test. I was asked about diseases and meds I had no clue about. Learning how to answer questions helped me best because after four years of school, my brain was not willing to accept anymore information...lol

so any tricks on how to answer questions?

I recommend Kaplan and Saunders. Saunders is good for content. Kaplan is excellent in getting you used to the format of HOW to answer the questions. If I could only use one, it would be Kaplan. I honestly didn't know a lot of what the topics were about but I knew what NCLEX wanted me to know and how to answer the questions.
