What medication do you give for AFIBB and what precautions to do you have before you give this medication?

Medication used to treat A-Fibrillation are Digoxin, beta blocker, calcium antagonists such as verapamil, diltiazem etc which are given
to slow the heart rate.
Precaution taken before given the medication is to check the heart rate, if the heart rate is < 60 Bpm, hold the medication and notify the physician but if the heart rate is 60-100 Bpm you can give.

Warfarin is used to prevent stroke. INR should be checked, and between 2.0-3.0. I've seen Amiodorone used to tx a-fib. Need to check heart rate because meds used to tx a-fib can cause bradycardia.

osteoporosis is the most most common cause of hip fracture in the elderly because it appear to be a hereditary condition also caused by lifestyle ( example are immobilization and diet which is marked by excessive calcification in the bone.)
