All vitals should be normal in geriatric pt, but to answer your q, I would have to say heart rate since HTN is common problem and temp can actually decrease as we age (and when sick in elderly). Pain could be common (i wouldn't say normal) due to arthritis. O2 should always be normal (between 90-100or 95-100 depending on facility or book you are reading!.) OK i don't know! What's the answer?

The question is asking what is normal in geriatric pt, which make it temperature because they have low body temp.

Body temperature regulation while it is a problem with the elderly, it is still expected to be within normal ranges. Thermoregulation is harder to control and can go from one extreme to the other very quickly. Whatever the case that vital sign is definetly supposed to be within normal, anything outside of that would be an abnormal finding...

for Nitro watch Blood pressure, watch for Hypotension!!!!


As for the liver biopsy question....
Preop--supine arms up
Post op- right side..

What is the treatment of choice for DKA in a conscious patient?

Delegate this assignment to the RN, LPN and CNA
1-change of abdominal dressing
2-IV push
3-Report decubitus ulcer healing to RN
4-irrigate central line
