Hey guys, just wanted to stop by and update...I took my boards on tuesday, still waiting for the results though, and my state doesn't have the quick results...so i tried the pearson trick, and if that is true then i passed, I will be sure to post when I get the official results...Thanks so much for all the questions, they really helped! by the way i had 75?'s and 10 select all that apply, 10 or so meds, and 1 drag and drop...Good luck to you all!

what is the reason the physician order fat/lipid emulsion for a pt receiving TPN
1- increase the amount of fluid intake
2- provide vitamin supplement
3- prevent fatty acid deficiency
4- increase consistency of TPN

The nurse should give which medication to apt with serum calcium level of 14mg/dL
1- vitamin D
2- calcium gluconate
3- calcitonin
4- calcium chloride

Arrange these in order of priority
1- sweep from side to side 2-3-4-1
2- pull the pin of the extinguisher
3- aim the base of the fire
4- squeeze the handle of the extinguisher

which food is high in Iron
1- bread
2- egg white

A pt is diagnose with hyperphosphatemia is instructed to avoid which food

1-GI bleeding and tinnitus
2- Tinnitus and hearing loss
3- Sore throat and purpura
4-GI upset and edema

I have been glued to this thread for hours today. I am scheduled to test Aug 6. Been answering hundreds of questions from the Saunders review book and CD-Rom and listening to the whole Kaplan audio review course I downloaded online (probably something like 16 hours of instruction). I will post some questions tomorrow ... must ... sleep ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
