by obloom14 Feb 14I'm very excited to say that I finally got my letter in the mail today saying that I can re register to take the NCLEX RN. I honestly thought that it would take a long time until they send it but it only took about a week!
Finally chose my date...THANK GOD they had available spots sometime in March and NOT April! Phew!!!!!!!!!!
Now the studying seriously begins....on Monday! I am VERY relieved that it came on time and I won't be taking it in April.
Any advice from those who took the exam the second time??? Thank you!!

- Feb 14 by julz68I'm so happy for you! What a relief you don't have to wait until April, huh?! I'll still be around checking on this forum to see how you & everyone else did. I love this place...wish I would have found it long ago when I started school, instead of 2 weeks before NCLEX. There are so many awesome people here that offer lots of support. Nobody really can know what we go thru, unless they are in the health field as well.
- Feb 15 by stephanie11ok.. NOT APRIL, i am retaking mine also in Marc for the second time and LAST TIME i Jesus Name. . Waiting for my ATT.. I would try evry possible best to take in MARCH.. cuz April, it gets harder according to the new law they are implementing. I am using the ATI virtual instructor, which is a one-one. I just started , so i cant say any reviews yet. Also, I am doing a whole lot of SATA on NCLEX 3500. well hit me up..

- Feb 16 by pedsRN28Tons of Saunders questions! (I did 600 questions) Use different format questions each time. IMO it's not beneficial to do a lot of SATA per say as the bulk of the test is multiple choice and you have know way of knowing how many SATA you'll get. Questions help me not only realize how to break it down but also the rationales! Not only do they explain the answer it also gives you additional info that you may have to apply to a later question. Hope this helps let me know if you have questions
- Feb 16 by obloom14The thing with SATA questions you really don't know what TOPICS you will get. It can vary from DM signs and symptoms to Alzheimer's, etc. You pretty much need to know S&S for all that. My weakness was management of care. I got propriety down because I was able to use the strategies that I learned with Kaplan. I know its content I'm weak on and really hated the kaplan book for that so I stuck with Saunders, im a visual person and that book has a few pictures and charts I can look at. I want to stick with one book. During my nursing school years we used ATI. Now I'm not sure what to go with. I was considering signing up with ncsbn online content course.
