Should i postpone the NCLEX exam?

Students NCLEX

I am scheduled to take my exam this coming Monday and so far I have done all of my question trainers about 91% of the qbank questions, the diagnostic exam, the 4 sample tests, and the practice test with the following scores:

Cumulative Qbank: 53%

Sample Test 1: 50%

Sample Test 2: 52%

Sample Test 3 (Priorities): 87%

Sample Test 4 (Alternative): 28%

Question Trainer 1: 59%

Question Trainer 2: 55%

Question Trainer 3: 42% (rushed because it was due last day of school)

Question Trainer 4: 55%

Question Trainer 5: 60%

Question Trainer 6: 59%

Question Trainer 7: 58%

Kaplan Practice Exam: 57%

Diagnostic Exam: 67%

I know they say to aim for at least 60-65 on all the tests, but i have never been able to get that high. I plan on taking my readiness exam tomorrow and hopefully that'll give me a better idea of where I'm at, but as of now I am freaking out! I really don't want to have to retake the NCLEX as I start my new job in 3 weeks.

You are scheduled and have paid for it. Go ahead and take it. This way if you fail, you will know what to expect. You may even surprise yourself and pass.

Think about the head to toe assessment. Then think about priorities. What do you assess first in given situations.

You have learned what you need to know for this exam. You got this.

I would still take it as scheduled. Look through the analysis of all of these tests. Do you notice any patterns?

Is there a specific point in each test where you notice you're starting to get multiple questions wrong in a row (for example, maybe around question 60-70 on each test, you notice you get 3-4 wrong in a row)? Trends like that can show you where you need to take breaks (or at least take a moment to refocus in your seat) during the actual NCLEX.

Are there specific topics you tend to get wrong more often? For example, are you noticing a lot of Peds questions were missed? Maybe you need to direct your focus more toward that area on the test.

Like I said, I would still take NCLEX as scheduled if I were you. Kaplan testing isn't always accurate in predicting how well you'll do. Good luck!

Yea one of my worse fears is overstudying. I actually was testing better on a lot of test prior to me taking the Kaplan course {facepalm}

I've gone through the analysis of every singe test/quiz I've taken which is probably the only reason my scores have slightly improved. And I will be finishing up watching the rest of the content video this weekend before my exam.

I don't really get to "one point" where I start to lose focus and usually take a break after every 75 questions or so, but i have been looking at the content areas and should probably review those more before taking the test. I'll definitely feel better or worse tomorrow after taking my Readiness Exam to truly see where I'm at.

I don't know if anyone is following this thread but just wanted to post an update: I took the exam at about 8am this morning and was in utter disbelief that I didn't know any of the answers. The computer shut off at 75 questions and i was 100% sure i failed, went home, cried to my boyfriend who tried his best to console me to no avail, bless his dear heart. I decided there was no way in hell i could wait 24 hours to find out if i passed so I tried out the pearson vue trick and got the good pop up "our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam, another registration cannot be made at this time!" I cried out of pure joy and am still crying as we speak and am hoping this time tomorrow what i think is me passing will be confirmed by the VA bon.
