Sharing NCLEX question banks?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey everyone, I'm an RN student and I will be graduating in May of this year. During this Christmas break, I've spent a bit of time preparing for the NCLEX, mainly making flash cards with lab values, etc, and doing NCLEX questions.

Another member on this site was kind enough to share a book of NCLEX questions she had in PDF format. So, I was thinking, maybe we could share with each other. If anyone has any kind of NCLEX question banks that can be emailed or otherwise shared with each other, post it under this thread. Maybe you have sharable ebooks or Word documents or PDF or whatever you would be willing to share?

It's just an idea. Maybe it will work, maybe not? But I hope so!

Specializes in PICU, Sedation/Radiology, PACU.

Just be careful. A lot of NCLEX review information (books, CD packages, question banks, etc) are copy righted. That means you can't use or share them without the author's permission, and permission is only given if you buy the material. Then it's intended for your use only. Sharing copies is similar to pirating movies, and it's illegal.

Good point. I didn't event think of that.

hi i am also trying hard reviewing my nclex rn boards. this will be my fouth time talking it. i have a kaplan book and dont know if this is all i need to study. what materials are u using? anything helpful that u think i need? when are u taking your exam? please help. thanks and good luck

I have a Kaplan book, a couple of different Saunders books, a HESI book, and the LaCharity book. I will graduate in May so I'll be taking my exam sometime in the couple of months after that.

Specializes in Derm, Plas, OB-GYNE & Internal Medicine.

I'll have my 2nd try come march 9.

What I do use now for my review are: PDA by LaCharity 2nd edition, Saunder's Comprehensive Review 5th edition for the content, Kaplan Strategies 2011-2012 and Exam Cram Practice Questions.

Good luck to everyone testing. We can do it!;)

Specializes in Psychiatric, Orthopedics.

My 2nd attempt will be on Jan 9.. I got:

>Lacharity- helps with prioritization and delegation

>Saunders- pathophysiology

>Kaplan Strategies- helped me a lot in breaking down a question and using Assessment vs Implementation

>Kaplan Qbank- super hard..spent some big bucks on this but the questions, as many claim, are harder than the actual NCLEX. I went from 48% (first 50 item test), to a 59% (cumulative after finishing ALL qbank questions).. have 2 more sample tests to go.

Goodluck to us retakers and first timers:) let's pray and keep believing, we can do this!! God Bless
