scheduling the NCLEX

I do not graduate until next year but I have a question. How soon after you graduate can you take the NCLEX? I do not want to wait too terribly long before I take it. I was thinking like a month after or so.

You cannot schedule the exam before your state grants permission for you to test and you have paid Pearson-Vue for the exam, and the state has released your approval to them. Pearson-Vue actually is the one that releases the ATT and you need that to be able to schedule a date for the exam.

Much is going to depend on how fast that your school sends in your transcripts as well as how fast that the state processes everything. But I would focus on getting thru your last year of your program first.

Best of luck as you complete your schooling.

Hello suzanne4:
Just a quick question about this, if you know: I was told by the FL BON that I should wait to register/pay with Pearson Vue when I get my ATT...who does the ATT come from - Pearson or the BON???

So, I am wondering do I go ahead now and register/pay with Pearson or wait for a "eligibility" correspondence from the BON?

Thanks for your assitance!

ATT is issued by pearsonvue once they receive ok fro ON/BRN. BON/BRN should let you know you are eligible

If you trained in the US, then you can go ahead and pay Pearson-Vue.

If one has trained out of the US, always best to wait until the CES is completed and the report has been accepted before paying for the exam.
