Scheduled Boards (Again) ADVICE!

Rule #1: take your time doing the exam.THIS is KEY. You might not know the answer but you can eliminate answers and apply knowledge from nursing sch. But you can only do this when you take your time reading the questions (2 to 3 times).

Content is good BUT do as many higher level questions as possible. Questions make you critically think. Because nclex questions are not direct.

Approach SATA like each answer is a True or False statement.

How long have you been preparing for the exam?

If you don't feel ready or haven't spent much time to work hard in your weak areas you may need to reschedule for a further date.

What I'm doing differently is looking at each category to see what exactly that section covers. It has clarified my studying very much by doing this.

I really need advice and help calming my nerves! I have failed boards 3 times and just scheduled them for my 4th time. I take them in TWO weeks! I am taking them at a different location than I have previously hoping that will me calm my nerves more too. The first 3 times I took it I used Kaplan and that didnt help. I just did Hurst and I feel a little more confident. I dont think I will ever feel completely ready but I just need advice. Some test taking strategies/ how to answer the questions. I think I rushed through the questions the first 3 times and I really need to change how I do things this time around but I really dont know where to start!

see bold... also, make sure you devote time to grasping the content from the hurst review... listen to it 2-3 times, if you must.

Use strategies to answer the questions, key words like always, only, have, must,I don't like when I saw it in my answer , so I eliminated them and narrow to two answer this will make you like much better.
