Is the Saunders review easier than the Nclex? Read inside.

Can someone help me out.

I'm trying to find a good way to study for the Nclex but i don't know which review actually mimics the Nclex.

I heard from some people that the Nclex is VERY similar to the Saunders review, both in its content and analysis.

However there are others that say the Nclex is Much harder than the traditional study tools such as Saunders, Nclex 3500, Nclex 4000, Springhouse, etc.

Anyone who has taken the Nclex please give your HONEST opinion as to what you think Mimics the Nclex.

Thanks...

The question is not which is easier or harder than the NCLEX, but that you know the concepts so that you can interpret the NCLEX questions and answer them correctly. The best way to do that is to do as many questions as possible and to study the rationales.

I took my test for Lpn in March and the I believe that Kaplan did help me the most. Because the questions give you the practice on using your critical thinking strategies. They are harder but as far as difficult but remember you have to be able to choose the answer. The questions on nclex are not all black and white. You have to know why you choose the answere and make sure patient safety. To review and subject you are not sure of or lab values Saunders does help. But as far as questions and practicing questions Kaplan because it is 24hous all day and different questions and you can choose that the program give previous answers that you had incorrect. So I believe Kaplan well worth my money. I hope this helped you. Oh and organize your study plan according to your date of exam and make sure you have enough sleep. Stick to this okay. Good luck!

any review material would do
but on content basis I'd go for Saunders
and after so when you're ready to take sample questions to analyze rationales I'd say Kaplan..focus is the main thing you must have in order for you to be more confident and optimistic..have faith!

Hi dobletruble,
First of all, figure out what type of test taker you are and decide where you are with content. When studying you start from the beginning with studying and making sure you interpret the question appropriately. All reviews are good but what may work for some you may find it may not work for you. I would select one review and noone will tell you what to do but do at least 100 questions per day which was mentioned earlier and review them understanding the rationale. Good Luck to you in your preparation for NCLEX.

I used Saunders the first time to review... but honestly, I think that the approach of the NCLEX is not like Saunders... i's more like Lippincott Questions, just my opinion though.
