I wouldn't say that Saunders "sucks" actually. You're right about it being an excellent review book. The newest edition (8th), is actually a GREAT book. It's great for quick reference.
As far as the questions, you're right, there is NOT that level of difficulty with the questions. But the NCLEX is a test where you really need to know how to answer the questions. I thought that Saunders rationales and strategies really showed
HOW to answer the questions correctly. Kaplan was definitely more difficult, but Saunders has been helpful to many people in passing the NCLEX with 75 questions and 265 questions. Everyone is different
