results in VA

by p_one

Hi there!

How and when you do get the results back in VA if you've passed? Do I just keep checking PearsonVue? Or do I start checking after 48 hours? I know they SAID 2 to 3 weeks, but I've been wondering since other people know a couple days after. I know we don't have the quick results in our state. Not talking about the trick.

Thank you!

Phone the VA BON--their phone is on the VA BON site http://www.dhp.virginia.gov/nursing/ listen to the phone prompts, there is 1 about license look up. A person will answer and give them ur name, and if you passed, they will say ur license is active, if failed, guess they won't say anything! I haven't done it yet, but I know others that have.

How soon after we take the test can we call them? It says that delivery was successful.

tbh, I tried the pearson vue trick and it let's me go all the way to the payment page, so I think I didn't pass. is it true? Does that mean I didn't pass? Oh, good luck, btw for when you try it! Also, I'm hearing conflicting stories about the results for va because there are people are telling me that I should wait until the 2-3 weeks when they send me my results, but when I left the test, they gave me the BON website in order to check, but I don't think I have a license. Only worried about what I will have to tell my boss and coworkers at work... Thanks so much for the responses, and best of luck to you!

Hoping

My friend called the VA BON talked to who ever answered the phone and she asked if (her name) had an active license. The lady looked it up and said yes, that name had an active license!! As well you can pay the $7.95 fee and 48 hrs after writign the exam it ca say if u passed or not! http://pearsonvue.com/nclex/ I hope the pearson trick was wrong! I know some VERY VERY bright people that have failed NCLEX, so ur not alone if you do (hope u didnt) Take it as a learning experience, make up a new study schedule and get back on the saddle!! Life goes on and you will rock it next time! Best of luck

Virginia Board of Nursing will have your results available 24-hours after you STARTED your test. All you have to do is call their number.

  • If you registered using your SSN you can call: Automated License Verification: (804) 270-6836
  • If you registered using your VA T-License number, you cannot use the automated line. Just call and talk to the receptionist desk at: (804) 367-4515.
If you can't wait the 24-hours, you can use the PearsonVue "trick" as soon as you see "delivery successful" on their website. It works!!! If you go all the way to the screen that allows you to enter your credit card information....you did NOT pass!!!

Good luck!!!

Hey p_one -- how long after taking your test did you try going to the Pearson payment page? I just tried the trick and it won't let me pay; HOWEVER, the BON just told me over the phone that they do not have my results yet (even though I took my test on Saturday). I'm going crazy.

Hey teaquay--

I took my test on a Thursday, and by Friday or Saturday they already had my results (but I didn't get up the courage to call the BON until a few days later). When you check on the Pearson Vue website, you have to make sure that it says "Delivery Successful" right next to your test appointment time. That means that they received your test and it was completed. If they won't let you pay, that probably means that you passed!!! Just keep holding tight. Good luck!
