Question about ATT,Pls Help!

Hi! Pls help, I need to clarify some things about ATT.

I read in the NCLEX Examination Candidate Bulletin that "one must test within the validity dates of the att: and these validity dates cannot be extended." ( What does it mean: the 30 days offered or the validity date? - the one year period from the date of the eligibility letter, am I right in understanding?

" Moreover, first time takers are offered an appointment within 30 days to schedule for an exam"... My question is, is it ok if I decline the appointment offered & schedule the exam later than the 30 days? Do I need to repay?

Your help is highly appreciated!!!! Thanks & God bless!!!

There should be a 3 month validity date on the ATT. You must test within these dates or you will have to resubmit and repay to take the exam. First time takers are offered an appoinment time within 30 days from the day that they receive the ATT, you may schedule well beyond those days, as long as you are within the valid dates of the ATT. The reason for this is so that first time test takers get the opportunity to test before someone who may be taking it for the 2nd or 3rd time. Hope this helps!

ATT - Authority to Take (the exam).... This is needed for one to be admitted / be able to take the exam...
