Students NCLEX

Well everyone, tomorrow is the big day. I'm going down to Atlantic City tonight and will stay overnight to wake up bright and early for the NCLEX. I must admit that my stress level is through the roof :uhoh3: . I will let everyone know Friday what the results are. Thanks for the support. :)

Good luck.

Trust your first guess. Never second guess yourself unless you believe your first thought processes were wrong (e.g. misread the question). Your first answer is statistically something like twice as likely to be the right one.

Relax. Don't study anymore. It won't help and could work up your anxiety level to the point that it hurts.

Be positive. You can do this. repeat that.

Don't freak during the test that you aren't answering enough of the questions correctly. It's a 'stump the chump' test and you're the chump. The test gets more and more difficult until it finds that level where you are at your limits. It not only expects you to get answers wrong, it will get more difficult until you do. The goal is to find the balance between the level where you are more right than not and the level where you are more wrong than not. That being the case, you ARE going to miss alot of questions. So don't let the anxiety of missing question affect future questions. DON'T FREAK, just keep going and keep your confidence high.

Finally, after it's over, put it behind you. Don't lower expectations. Don't freak. Go have a drink or drop a twenty in a slot machine. Relax, I'm sure you'll do fine. (But I'll say that prayer you asked for anyway).

Timothy.

I will pray for you but just remember all those times through nursing school that the lord intervened and helped you get where you are today. He's not going to let you down now! He said, "I am with you always". Keep the faith, remain confident, breath and succeed. :)

How did it go? Are we a quick result state? I've been thinking about you. I'm sure you'll hear good news.

Well I took the test, and now starts the waiting game. We are quick result state so I should know definitly by tomorrow afternoon. Test shut off at 105, I'm pretty sure I got the last question right. That's the only positive I took away from the test, other than that it was just torture. It seemed like I didn't know anything. I'm keeping my fingers crossed when I check tomorrow.

I'll send up another prayer for you. I'm sure you will be adding RN to your name tomorrow.
