Is this person serious. I don't know about this person but I struggled through school with
small children, not enough money, too many bills, only my husband working because the
clinical schedule was too intense to even keep a job ( 12 hour days) and when I took
this test I was physically ill thinking I would possibly be set back......this person obviously has not
read the posts about how most people feel after taking it.........not a big deal to wait.....this
is your life and something you truly worked hard for you want to know if you passed....trust me!
If not, it obviously does not mean that much to you!
I'll be honest: before I took the NCLEX I thought that people getting worked up over the "trick", the number of questions they received, whether the screen was grey or blue at the end and if it meant pass/fail, whether the proctor really knew how the test takers did based on what they said to the test takers as they were leaving, and all that other stuff...well, I thought y'all were going a bit crazy with this Didn't think any less of any of you, but did think that some of you were reading too much into things.

Then I took the NCLEX.

And immediately found myself wondering what color my screen was when I ended (honestly can't remember), trying to see if the proctors somehow knew from their computers (all I saw was my own ugly mug on the screen, and all they said was "have a good weekend"), what the 15 non-scored questions were (please let them have been the ones about the strange drugs), if having so many SATA was a good sign (who knows?) wondering if getting the last question right was a good sign (if it is, I'm in trouble because I got the last one wrong), and yes: I tried the trick (it's not letting me register). I know all of this doesn't change whether I passed or not--that was already decided when I hit the Enter button for the last time. But it's amazing how taking that test can change a person's attitude and what they think, especially when you realize how much is at stake with this test.

Felecia: don't let that person's remarks bother you. Despite how much that poster may rant about how silly we're all being...I'm willing to bet that within 24 hours after that test, they're going to be just like us, combing though this forum looking for clues, theories, etc. that might hint to them about how they did on the test

*****....you know it...they are going to be going as nuts as we were. I literally sat on this website for the whole 48 hours....I was physically ill. I think it will hit them once they take it.............I think I was just taken back by what they said....you are right they are going to be in our shoes very soon!!! HAHA Happy 4th to all of you!!!

Ok, considering you are just "starting" this journey, I don't think you really have a clue.....

Once you get through all those "tests" in nursing school...
Once you get through all those "clinicals" in nursing school...
Once you pull "all nighters" studying for an exit exam that determines if you graduate or not......
Once you are "praying" you don't miss ONE question too many on the last exam, because otherwise, you are out for a year......
Once you shell out over $500 for a review course.....
Once you spend "hours" doing questions each day for an entire month.......
Once you get through all the "politics" of interviewing and landing your first RN job, which is dependant on you passing NCLEX........

THEN

You can come back here and see why this is such a BIG deal to many of us who has been there and done that and this is the END of our journey that we have given up so much for to finally be able to have RN at the end of our names. And then the real life learning on the job comes.

Until THEN, you have NO clue. NONE!

And another thing, there is NO comparison on waiting for an "acceptance" letter to nursing school and waiting to being licensed as a Registered Nurse.

This is totally ridiculous. I cant believe this person can even comment as such. Thank you nurse2b09 for giving such a thorough response. I too tried this trick as soon as I got home. Sad to say, I had gone all the way to the credit card screen . I did my crying that day l. 'I cried all day & night.and the next day I had to go to work. My employer was asking "howd your exam go" im sure you passed. She had so much faith in me , i told her about the trick and that im sure it worked and that i believe i have not passed. She did not believe me and wanted me to wait for my official results two days later i paid the eight bucks and saw "fail" on the screen. I was heartbroken, but prepared to see that. I called my employer and let her know. Honestly, I thought I passed. I was getting the "harder" questions per say , so many priority, sata, infection control, and the list goes on. I thought wow, im doing great, these questions are all application and analysis. When I came home, I tried the trick, and it let me go all the way to the payment screen. I was like "wait!" wheres the pop up.. ? I was so hurt. But this trick helped me a lot. Had I waited two days to find out, i would have been partying and feeling that i passed, and would have been very content. It would have hit me even more. This person really doesnt know what he/she is talking about. I had to go through alot in nursing school, kids to take care, husband with a minimum wage job, studying for exams, trying to pass all the clinicals and lab skills. And then i exhausted my studying my first time for this exam, i studied for hours and hours, and finding out i didnt pass. It hurt me so much. I am back in the game, i will not give up. I will pass this exam my second time for sure! So Im sorry, but this person is totally clueless, and for sure doesnt know the feeling of nursing school just yet.

I just took my test today and I did the trick. I got the pop up screen and I feel so much better now. However, I will not officially celebrate until I see my name on the BRN website. I always like to be a bit cautious, but I am hopeful that the trick worked.

I am taking the test on Wednesday the 8th and I'm already prepared to feel anxious after the exam. I was wondering how soon you can try the "trick" after taking the test.
Wish me luck!!!
Thanks
