Another positive result for the "Trick" - worked for me - and I checked only an hour after I took my test. 2 days later the state BON had my new license listed.
Good luck to everyone on the test. I don't know anyone who has walked out knowing whether they passed or not for sure. Use the trick to ease your mind.

i think that means that you have succesfully delivered your exam.. because results dont succesfully get delivered to the state until two bussiness days.. because after the comp makes a pass fail decision , the comp has to get rechecked by a person to ensure accuracy.. but once succesfully delivered the exam is up.. the "unofficial" results are in..

People that are finding out they passed today, when did you take it? I took mine July 2nd and Im trying to figure out if Pearson is going to have them posted today. I finished my exam a little after 2 pm (started at 1pm) and its 1:36. The anxiety is probably taking years off of my life!

I think Silverdragon meant you need a SSN for your name to be posted on the BRN website, not that you need it in order to search for someone's name.

I took it in California, and just checked for my name on "Permanent licensee verification."
It popped up (yay!)

Other friends have also had their names pop up about 3 days after they took the test.

Even though we aren't a "quick result" state, you can just search for your name.

Graduated 5/17/2009, took the Nclex 7/2/09, tried the Pearson trick twice- once 2pm day of the test (test started at 8, finished at 9, 90 questions) and once later that evening just to be sure. Got the pop up both times. Quick results from this morning (9am) said I passed. The trick is true. I was CERTAIN I failed until the trick, I just walked out feeling horrible, but since you're only meant to get half the questions right.... must feel that way for most people, I suppose. Tested in and for New York. Anybody know how long it takes NYS to process? they say 3-4 weeks, but I'm sure the license verification is sooner, just don't know how much sooner. Thanks!

Correct, if you do not give a SSN then the BRN will not issue a license and you will not see your name on the website.

We have seen this several times with International nurses who do not have a SSN and others who thought they failed but when they contacted the BRN it was found that there was a problem with SSN

I took the NCLEX Thursday 7/2/09 at 2pm, finished at 3pm with 75 questions. Tried the pearsonvue "trick" and received the pop up that would not let me register. Promptly 48 hours later I found out that I did in fact PASSED!
