Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

wah 5 weeks that's gonna feel like a years >_

did the pearsonvue trick.. did not get the pop up.. this sucks.. 265 questions, a lot of SATA, meds, 10 computations... nclex is entirely test taking strategy..

Hi!

I was just wondering if you found out if you passed? Did the trick work for you? I just finished my NCLEX today and I have been an absolute wreck... I feel like I failed and I have been an emotional mess all day. I did the trick and the error message popped up but I just don't feel like that is a good enough indicator and was just wondering if it worked for you?

Thanks

Hello everyone,

I tried the PVT as MANY have, and I CANNOT schedule another exam. My test stopped at 75, and I was NOT confident at all about my progress. The first question was easy, then it all went downhill from there. My third question was SATA, and I had many of those, and tons of drugs I wasn't as familiar with as I should have been, and even one disease I had NEVER heard of! I took like 3 hours, staring at each question for like 5 minutes to make sure I was answering correctly. Everyone in my class has had a 75 question test and passed, except for one student who got 102, yet still passed. That student said they "didn't study at all", but still passed. I studied relentlessly for hours on end, many days, over a month. The trick has worked for my classmates also, and I am hoping I won't be the first person in history to get "the good pop-up" and FAIL. It is really frustrating when people who don't even really care to be nurses breeze through this, yet I have worked 7 years to get my BSN, and I may fail? Does anyone have any well-structured, encouraging words that will give me more insight to whether I likely passed, or not? In Michigan, there are not enough jobs, and I am tired of sitting here waiting, even having to pass on two positions because I didn't have a license number. Also, even though my fellow Ohio classmates are lucky enough to get their results very quickly via their BON site, the State of Michigan is incredibly slow to finish anything and will probably not post my license number (if I have one) for 2-3 weeks; if they can't get off the office chair to get the transcripts from the mailroom, I can't see how they will be in any kind of rush to give me a license number....and so, I digress...sorry. Thanks.

I had 75 questions, and took like 3 hours. I know that seems excessive, but I wanted to make sure I answered right...staring at each question for like 5 minutes each. My third one was a SATA, and I had many, many obscure drugs, and one disease that I was completely unfamiliar with. I tried the PVT last night and today (I took the exam yesterday afternoon) and I am getting the "good pop-up". Do you think that is tell-tale of passing? Everyone in my class got 75 questions and passed, except one who got 102 or something like that, and they passed as well. I believe most used the PVT, and all received the good pop-up. I am dying here. I'm not 22 anymore, and I need (and want) to start working! I have been waiting many years to be a nurse, it is the ONLY career choice for me! I love what I do, and will be crushed if I fail, for several reasons. What do you people think? I would think if I was doing poorly, they would have at least given me a few more questions. Those of you who got 75, did most of you pass? I know they say that is not relevant, but it seems that most who shut off at 75 pass. And the PVT...anyone get the pop-up and then end up failing regardless? Thanks.

What help do you need? It sounds like you passed. Also, even if the state is slow to post your license # (NY was ridiculously slow too) you should get a letter in the mail within 3-4 days telling you that you passed. I took the test on a Tues and got a letter the following Monday. (Didn't get my license for another 3 weeks after that though.)

Relax until you receive your official results. Good luck.

I just took the exam and went straight to the cc. I'm disapointed. Does this trick work always? Where did your boyfriend take the test and when?

Thanks

Merged with existing thread for continuity

Yes, I did get my results. I paid for the quick results that were available... I did the pearson vue trick and got the pop up.... and I passed!!! So the trick really does work.
