Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

Hi ktgrl1004,

I took mine on 9/30 in California and got "thr good pop" still not on BRN list either. I know that in California, they take evry other Friday off and usually do not process on the weekend.. so if you took exam on 9/27- That is still only four business days. Did you call BRN to make sure they have all your transcripts, etc?

Hi Natalie =) Congrats on the good pop up!

I called the BRN on the Oct. 3rd, a week after I took the test and got the pop up. And as it turns out they had "not received" my transcripts. A guy named **** is handling my file and hasn't returned my calls all week. My SON sent them out Sept.1st. I think a few other people had the same issue with CA BRN. So, I re-requested a transcript from my school to get sent out ASAP. Did you get your results on the BRN yet? :yeah:

took my exam yesterday...265 questions, 5 hours! drained and desperate...I visit allnurses for comfort but been reading this thread about PVT. Gave it a try and it all goes all the way to do payment...so i guess i Failed?:cry: pls tell me this is not true...did somebody tried, didnt got the pop up and still pass?

I took the NCLEX on Aug 5th, got 209 questions, and came home and got the credit card screen and sure enough, I failed. I just wanted to give you an answer from someone who got the credit card screen. I'm sorry. It's a hard test! I can finally retake the NCLEX tomorrow.

So...if you did not schedule your test online in the first place....is there a trick? I don't have an account cuz I did mine over the phone.

The trick does indeed work. I took the test Tuesday 10-5-10. Did the trick an hour later, got the pop up and today 10-7-10 my LVN license was on the BON website. YAY ME

I took the NCLEX this morning after failing it in August. I planned to stay all day and take my time. To my surprise, it cut off at 75! What? I answered over 200 the first time. What a difference slowing down made for me. I got a boatload of SATA and priority questions. I really felt good about my answers this time. Well guess what? Got the good pop up. I KNOW this works because I got the credit card screen last time and failed. I'm already celebrating because I've had it both ways!!

Future exam takers should refer to your case, you waited for 16 days to get your official results after getting a good pop up. I would have died waiting that long. Congratulations and welcome to the group! Ramon P, RN

Specializes in I like the OR/ICUs.

I took my NCLEX RN today and the anxiety of waiting for my quick results was driving me crazy. Soo I just tried the PVT and I got the good pop-up (7 hrs after my exam). Although I get my quick results on Monday this waiting game still sucks.

Believe it or not, waiting with a good pop up in hand pays off and worth all the wait. Congratulate yourself, all your hardship has paid off - handsomely and more. Ramon P, RN

It works!!! It works!!! the PVT works!!! I just found out that I passed after 48 hrs of tourture. Now I am a :nurse:. The PVT is the only thing that kept me sane. The praying helped too. now I can breath:redbeathe. congradulations to everyone that has passed their boards!! and for those who did not , don't get discouraged you will do it the next time, after all nursing is truely a calling and you already know in your :heartbeat if this is the right path for you the exam is just a formality. :redbeathe :nurse: Keep the faith and Happy Healing:nurse::redbeathe
