Pearson vue trick doesn't always work

I just wanted to share my experience with everyone because so many of us rely on the "Pearson Vue Trick" after we take the NCLEX..

I took the NCLEX for the THIRD time 3 days ago. I had all 265 questions and was in there for the entire 6 hours. Talk about exhausting. I remembered the last question and as soon as I walked out I looked up the answer and what do you know, I answered it correct. At this point I was feeling pretty good (not confident because 90% of the questions I had no idea what was going on). The next morning I signed on to Pearson Vue to try the "trick" and I was able to go all the way to the payment screen..I had no pop up, nothing. I was completely heart broken because up until this point, I thought I passed. I started googling and every where you read tells you that the Pearson Vue trick is 100% accurate. I cried my eyes out ALL day long because I had no idea what I was going to do next. I spent the last 2 months studying my brains out just to fail for the third time?! Every negative thing you could think of was running through my head. "I'm so stupid", "I shouldn't be a nurse", etc.

Yesterday I received a phone call from my girl friend who is a nurse and she asked me to sign onto Board of Nursing because...my LICENSE was there!! I have no idea how this happened to me or why pearson vue let me log all the way in after I took the boards but I spent an entire day completely devastated and crying my eyes out for no reason. And for all of you questioning if it was a mistake, that same day (last night) I received my License in the mail so it's not a fluke :)

Moral of my story -THE PEARSON VUE TRICK DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK!

This is about the millionth thread about this in the last few weeks. They fixed the glitch in the website, there is no trick anymore.

I've come to the conclusion that no one READS a single thread before posting a new thread. I'm not sure how it happens, but people join AllNurses, go to this forum, and somehow miss a dozen threads IN A ROW that all say the same topic as what the new member is about to post.

Weird.

Yes. We know. There are millions of threads on it. Pearson Vue updated their website a week or two ago and it doesn't work for anyone. EVERYONE goes to the credit card page.

I just took the NCLEX and it shut off after question #75. I did the Pearson Vue Trick and it allowed me to enter my CC info. :unsure: I don't know what to think at this point. All I can do is wait.

I think you need to read the hundreds of other posts on this very topic.
