Pearson vue trick.... Pearson vue TRUTH?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my NCLEX today, stopped at 175. Did the PVT one hour after I took my exam, got the "good pop up". I hope it's true! I failed my first time, answered the max amount of questions, did the PVT an hour later and took me straight to CC page, sure enough, letter came in a week later saying I failed. Has anyone tried the PVT and have it be wrong? For you all taking the nclex soon and wondering what I used to prepare myself for my second attempt, I purchased NCSBN's 3 week course ($50) and read Kaplan's strategies. I didn't really read content, focused mainly on answering practice questions and read rationales for both right and wrong answers. Don't over study, make sure you have time for yourself to rest! :)

Did you try the trick your first time?

Hi, sorry late response but yes I tried the PVT after my first attempt, took me straight to CC page. Second attempt, got the good pop up.

I have come across 6 people since I started school in August that have gotten one pop-up or the other and the results were actually opposite. Both ways. It appears to work the cast majority of the time, but it DOES happen that it's inaccurate sometimes.

The good pop up is never wrong. If you check before you see Delivery Successful ok your sign in page then you may be sent to the cc page. If you receive the good pop up you have definitely passed.

Thank you, this is a really late response but I did PASS! I'm in CA so it is a slower process than most states. My results were actually on hold after I got the "good pop up" which scared me, checked every day for a week, kept getting "results on hold", didn't bother checking or stressing over it after that.. Stayed positive, a week and a half later I got my letter saying I passed :) I paid for my license two weeks ago, but my name still isn't on my state's BON, so I'm just working on my résumé and scoping out jobs in the mean time :)

I'm officially a nurse- feels so great to say!
