Pearson VUE - NCLEX Registration - HELP!

Hello All:

I just registered, or atleast attempted to register with Pearson VUE for the NCLEX-RN exam. I entered all of my information, including credit card number and then clicked the "confirm registration" button. I thought I would get a receipt or something of that nature, but instead got a message saying that I would be contacted within 72 hours to complete the registration. My wife went online to register for NCLEX-RN and got the exact same message. Has any out thee had this same thing happen to them????

This is the exact message from the Pearson VUE Website:

We have received your order, but processing is not yet complete. Please DO NOT submit another order! If you submit another order request, your order will be delayed and you may be charged twice.

Pearson VUE will contact you within 72 hours to complete the processing of your order

It pretty much means what it says, it can take 24 to 72 hours to get your conformation email from them.

Gee Shannon, thanks for that. I am pretty sure that I mastered the concept of reading simple sentences long ago.

I was hoping that someone could let me know if this is typical of the process of registering for the NCLEX.

pretty much everyone in my class that registered had theirs within the time frame. It's pretty common and I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you get past the 72 hour mark and NOT received that confirmation email.

I wasn't trying to be a smart-a$$, but they send out the message for a reason. Its just a standard, hey we got your info, don't drop another $200 on this test! We'll send ya a confirmation shortly. Seems like I got mine AFTER it had been deducted from my checking account.

Also, I don't know where you are getting licensure at, but if you're able to check the status of the application online, you should. I registered in March, and the Ky BON still had me as needing to register with Pearson...I finally got a hold of the woman and she fixed it, but just minute little things like that make me paranoid that something will hold up getting the ATT.

Again, sorry about coming off as a smartA$$!

Thanks for the follow-up Shannon. I was concerened because I expected to get a confirmation immediately after clicking submit...when I saw the thing about 72 hours, I thought that meant that I had made an error requiring a wait. It sounds like the wait is a standard thing - perhaps I should have read a little more closely and I would have known this happens routinely. I guess I thought it should be as easy as ordering a pizza online :)

Guess I am just a bit on edge as the big day looms closer...thanks for the help!

I think the message is because many people in the past have mistakenly reattempted to register immediately and been charged twice. Apparently, they have not adjusted the process to allow for immediate acknowledgement. Good luck!

hi everyone! i'm new here and i'm just glad about this site because it's very useful.. just recieve my eligibility and plan to register to pearson next week.. i just wanna ask, how long will be the process, the ATT and the waiting for your skeed date. by the way i'm here in CA. Thanks a lot.

Guys I'm going on my 3rd week still waiting for my ATT in Cali...I called PV last Monday and they told me to give them at least 7 days!! Dunno what else to do but wait..

To the OP how did it go? Did you get confirmation within the timeframe they advised? My friend registered and got the same message so we were wondering.
